Description
The MV-ACXP12-HDBNC(up)-HDBNC-HF-4m data cable from HIKROBOT is a 4 m high-flex cable for CoaXPress links of the CXP-12 class between camera and frame grabber. It is designed for drag chains; end A carries an HD-BNC connector, end B an angled HD-BNC connector.
Technical data
The coaxial cable measures 5 mm in diameter, and the jacket is made of black PVC. HIKROBOT specifies 500 mating cycles for the connectors and RoHS as the certification. Each cable is individually packaged.
Operating conditions
In the drag chain the cable is rated for up to 2 million U-type bending cycles, at a bending radius of at least 60 mm. The voltage must stay at or below 300 VDC. The working temperature range extends from -20 °C to 80 °C.
Applications and selection
The MV-ACXP12-HDBNC(up)-HDBNC-HF series comes in 3, 4 and 10 m. The 4 m version is the intermediate step for systems where the shortest version gets tight, for example because the drag chain needs a longer loop for the travel path. The angled connector makes sense where the cable has to leave the socket sideways right away. One limit is the 500 mating cycles: at test stations where cameras are re-plugged often, this has to be planned for. The cable provides one CoaXPress link; a camera with several CoaXPress ports needs one cable per port. Without an angled connector, the MV-ACXP12-HDBNC-HDBNC-HF series is available; the HIKROBOT MV-GY1004 frame grabber has HD-BNC ports for CXP-12.
