Description
The MV-ACXP12-HDBNC(up)-HDBNC-HF-10m data cable from HIKROBOT is, at 10 m, the longest version of its series. It carries CoaXPress data of the CXP-12 class between camera and frame grabber, is built as a high-flex cable for drag chains, and has an HD-BNC connector at end A and an angled HD-BNC connector at end B.
Technical data
The coaxial cable has a black PVC jacket and a diameter of 5 mm. The connectors are rated for 500 mating cycles; HIKROBOT lists RoHS as the certification. Each cable is supplied individually packaged.
Operating conditions
For use in a drag chain, HIKROBOT specifies up to 2 million U-type bending cycles; the cable must not be bent tighter than a 60 mm radius. The permissible voltage is up to 300 VDC, and the working temperature range is -20 °C to 80 °C.
Applications and selection
The MV-ACXP12-HDBNC(up)-HDBNC-HF series comes in 3, 4 and 10 m; it does not cover longer runs. The 10 m version fits when the computer with the frame grabber stands away from the machine or the camera travels on a long axis, for example on a gantry. The angled connector lets the cable leave the socket sideways right away. One limit is the environment: below -20 °C and above 80 °C, operation lies outside the manufacturer's specification. Without an angled connector, the MV-ACXP12-HDBNC-HDBNC-HF series also comes in 10 m. As a counterpart with HD-BNC ports for CXP-12, the HIKROBOT MV-GY1004 frame grabber is an option.
