Datalogic’s PowerScan 9500 series consists of versatile, rugged and powerful handheld scanners. It includes three models:

• Corded model (PD9500)
• Wireless model with Bluetooth wireless technology (PBT9500)
• Cordless model with Datalogic’s STAR Cordless System 2.0 (PM9500)

These 1D and 2D handheld area imagers are ideal for a variety of industries including manufacturing, transportation and logistics, retail and healthcare. They enable fast and reliable inventory management and tracking of parts or materials.

The handheld scanners’ omnidirectional and long-range scanning capabilities enable reading of 1D and 2D codes from multiple angles. Models can be combined with standard or high-performance optics to achieve greater depth of field and a scanning range of up to 110 cm. Reliable scan feedback confirms that a code has been successfully read. Some PowerScan 9500 Series models also support reading of direct part marking (DPM) codes and high-resolution codes in the range of approximately 0 to 15 cm. The PowerScan DPM models feature Datalogic’s latest optics and software to make reading directly marked codes even easier and more intuitive.

These water- and dust-resistant handheld scanners offer 2 m drop protection on concrete. Their ergonomic shape provides a comfortable grip and intuitive operation. The PowerScan 9500 Series also includes one of the lightest and smallest handheld scanners on the market, which can be conveniently placed on the back of the hand, freeing the user’s hands for other tasks. Fast scanning speed and long battery life make work processes easier and faster, increasing worker productivity.

The PowerScan 9600 Series offers both cordless and corded models. The cordless version increases operator efficiency and safety with Datalogic’s STAR Cordless System. The bidirectional wireless connection and display provide instant feedback to help prevent errors. There is also a Bluetooth variant with Bluetooth 5.0 that can be paired with any Bluetooth-enabled device or the Bluetooth base station.

The series includes three different optics to meet different application needs:

• Standard range optics for most applications where bar codes are read from a normal distance.
• High-performance optics for decoding high-density codes as well as increased depth of field
• Document capture model for reading codes at wide angles and for document capture applications

The Powerscan 9600 is ideal for applications where fast and accurate bar code capture is required, such as in areas like shipping centers, retail, healthcare and e-ticketing.

Whether 1D, 2D or DPM codes – these scanners capture numerous codes with ease. Their rugged IP65 or IP68-rated housing allows them to be used in harsh environments.

With triple read confirmation via LED, beeper and vibration, the Zx36 scanners are quick and intuitive to configure and operate. They also offer both wired and wireless options to flexibly adapt to different applications. Suitable connection modules are available for seamless integration into industrial fieldbuses such as PROFIBUS, PROFINET and Ethernet TCP/IP.

The Zx36 scanners not only feature reliable code reading and a robust design, but also offer easy configuration. They can be configured either by scanning a single barcode, using intuitive software, or automatically uploading data during maintenance.

This scanner series is universally applicable and is suitable both as handheld scanners on production lines for comprehensive material tracking and in the warehouse from goods receipt to shipping. They offer convincing scanning performance for both DPM and classic 1D and 2D codes, even with small code sizes, weak contrasts and different surfaces.

Thanks to modular connection technology, SICK’s handheld scanners can be integrated into various fieldbus technologies such as PROFIBUS DP, PROFINET IO/RT, Ethernet TCP/IP, or EtherCAT®. For systems with fixed-mounted 1D and 2D cameras or RFID read/write devices, AUX loop-in offers an economical solution.

SICK’s Zx36 scanners are used in areas such as factory automation, the electronics industry, and logistics, where they detect needled or lasered DPM codes on metal and plastic, and identify 1D and 2D codes for track-and-trace applications in intralogistics.

Even at a distance of 21.4m, scanners in this series can decode 1D and 2D codes.

With the DS3600 series, Zebra carries particularly robust scanners that can withstand adverse conditions. For example, the handheld scanners function properly even after being dropped from up to 2.4m onto concrete.

DS3600 models are available with and without cables and can read 1D/2D barcodes as well as OCR, photos and signatures.

Thanks to the latest reading algorithms, HDR technology, a high-speed liquid lens, integrated technology and a multi-core processor, the Cognex DataMan 8700 Series can reliably decode even difficult DPM (Direct Part Marking) or label-based codes on challenging surfaces in less than 150 milliseconds.

Furthermore, this advanced handheld scanner features an OLED display that simplifies and speeds reader configuration and operation by providing intuitive feedback without the need for a PC.

DataMan 8700 series handheld readers are drop-resistant and water- and oil-resistant due to the highly robust housing. The scanner can be submerged one meter into water without damage and withstands multiple drops from 2.5 meters onto concrete.

In addition, this series supports a variety of communication options and can connect directly to computers, tablets and phones.
