Description
The OPT-CCD5028 is listed in OPT's series “Crocodile Macro Lenses” with focal length 50 mm, aperture F2.8 - F16, image circle Ø19.3 mm (1.2"). In addition: working distance 90 - 122 mm, C-Mount.
The Crocodile series focuses with a floating lens group instead of the entire lens block. The image thus stays sharp over the whole close-up range from 47 to 412 mm, at up to 145 lp/mm for pixels from 3.45 µm and sensors up to 1.2" (Ø19.3 mm). In many close-range inspections it replaces a telecentric lens: connector pins, adhesive beads, threads, small metal parts.
When choosing a lens, what counts is the interplay of sensor size, pixel size, field of view and working distance - the focal length alone says little. If you tell us your camera and inspection task, we check the combination and, if needed, suggest suitable lighting to go with it. The dimensional drawing is included.
