Area scan camera MV-CH1050-10YM-M58S-NL

The MV-CH1050-10YM-M58S-NL area scan camera from HIKROBOT is a liquid-cooled monochrome camera from the CH series with 105 MP and a CoaXPress interface. With 10240 × 10240 pixels its image format is square. HIKROBOT names semiconductor electronics, automated optical inspection of printed circuit boards and inspection of flat panel displays as typical applications.

Technical data

The sensor is a Sony® BSI, a back-side illuminated CMOS sensor with global shutter. The pixels measure 2.74 µm × 2.74 µm and the sensor diagonal is 39.7 mm. At full resolution the camera reaches up to 45 fps in Mono 8. Image data runs over CoaXPress with Micro-BNC connectors. The camera is powered with 9 VDC to 24 VDC through the 12-pin P10 connector, which also carries the inputs and outputs, or via PoCXP; typical power consumption is 14.3 W at 12 VDC. The lens mount is M58 × 0.75 with an 11.48 mm flange back length. The housing measures 73 mm × 60 mm × 43.7 mm and weighs about 370 g.

Operating conditions

The permissible range is 0 °C to 50 °C in operation with a liquid cooling circulation system and -30 °C to 80 °C in storage, each at 20 % to 95 % relative humidity without condensation. The IP40 protection rating applies with the lens and cabling properly installed.

Applications and selection

HIKROBOT specifies the operating temperature range only with a liquid cooling circulation system; such a circuit therefore has to be planned at the installation site. Where that is not possible, the MV-CH1030-90YM-M58S-NN is an option: also monochrome with CoaXPress and an M58 lens mount, and according to HIKROBOT without a fan. On the PC side the camera needs a frame grabber for CoaXPress; frame grabbers and cables are listed in the catalog.
