Area scan camera MV-CT3MA0250/G/C/NN

The MV-CT3MA0250/G/C/NN area scan camera from HIKROBOT is a monochrome camera of the CT series with an XoCLink interface and C-mount. Its sensor offers 25 MP with 5120 × 5120 pixels in a square image format. Typical applications are automated optical inspection of printed circuit boards, display inspection and photovoltaics.

Technical data

The Gpixel GMAX0505 CMOS sensor with global shutter has a 1.1" format and a pixel size of 2.5 µm × 2.5 µm. At full resolution the camera delivers up to 20 frames per second in Mono 8; further pixel formats are Mono 10 and Mono 12. The dynamic range is 63.3 dB, and the exposure time ranges from 12 µs to 10 s. It is powered with 9 VDC to 24 VDC through the 8-pin M8 connector, which also carries the inputs and outputs, or via PoC over the data cable; typical power consumption is 2.6 W at 24 VDC. The housing measures 29 mm × 29 mm × 33 mm and weighs approx. 90 g.

Operating conditions

The permissible temperature range is -30 °C to 50 °C in operation and -30 °C to 80 °C in storage, at 20% to 95% relative humidity without condensation. The IP40 rating applies with the lens mounted and the cables connected; it includes no dust or water protection.

Applications and selection

Without a color filter, every pixel captures unfiltered light, which benefits measurement tasks, edge inspection and code reading. For color imaging, the version MV-CT3CA0250/G/C/NN with the same sensor and housing is available. The monochrome XoCLink models MV-CT3MA0050/G/C/NN and MV-CT3MA0120/G/C/NN with fewer pixels deliver more than 20 frames per second.
