Coaxial light MV-LCDS-H-70-70-IR850

The MV-LCDS-H-70-70-IR850 coaxial light from HIKROBOT is a coaxial front light with a 70 mm × 70 mm emitting area in infrared. A beam splitter directs the light along the camera axis onto the part, and the camera looks through the same beam splitter. Flat, mirror-like surfaces appear evenly bright, while scratches, embossing, engravings and markings stay dark because they scatter the light out of the axis.

Technical data

The emitting area measures 70 mm × 70 mm; at the center the light reaches an illuminance of at least 8,000 lux. The infrared light emits at 850 nm in the near infrared. A diffuser plate is included. Power consumption is 12.6 W, the connection is an SMR-03V-B connector on a 1 m cable. The housing measures 99 mm × 77.7 mm × 76 mm and weighs 417 g.

Operating conditions

The permissible range is 0 °C to 40 °C in operation and -20 °C to 60 °C in storage, each at 20 % to 90 % relative humidity without condensation. HIKROBOT states the photobiological safety class as "no danger".

Applications and selection

Coaxial lights are the choice when a glossy, flat surface has to be imaged without reflections: wafers and printed circuit boards, polished metal parts, laser markings, displays and glass. The emitting area should be slightly larger than the camera's field of view. The MV-LCDS-H series comes in sizes 30, 40, 50, 60 and 70 in white, in 30 to 60 also in red and blue, in 70 also in infrared.
