Line scan camera MV-CL08K7-148TM

The HIKROBOT MV-CL08K7-148TM line scan camera captures moving objects in monochrome with one line of 8192 pixels measuring 7 µm × 7 µm and transfers the images over 10 GigE with an RJ45 port. In standard mode it reaches 148 kHz in Mono 8.

Technical data

In standard mode, the line rate in Mono 10 and Mono 12 is 74 kHz. With a region of interest (ROI) or binning, it is 239 kHz at 8192 pixels and below, and the same applies with HB or JPEG image compression. The sensor type is CMOS; the dynamic range is 64.9 dB and the signal-to-noise ratio 41.4 dB. Exposure time ranges from 2 µs to 10 ms. Triggering is internal or external, with external triggering by line trigger, frame trigger or both together. A 12-pin connector carries the 12 VDC to 24 VDC supply and four bidirectional, configurable I/O lines; power consumption is typically 9.1 W at 12 VDC. The camera measures 76 mm × 76 mm × 49.5 mm and weighs approx. 400 g. The lens mount is M72 × 0.75 with a 12 mm flange focal length; F-mount, C-mount and other lenses connect via an adapter ring.

Operating conditions

The permissible range is -20 °C to 55 °C in operation and -30 °C to 80 °C in storage. Relative humidity may range from 5% to 90%, without condensation. The IP40 rating applies with the lens and the wiring properly installed; it offers no protection against water.

Applications and selection

On web material and parts moving past the camera, the line trigger, usually from an encoder, couples image capture to the feed. Because the camera exposes only a single line without TDI, it needs a lot of light on fast webs. We also carry the CL series with GigE, Camera Link, CoaXPress and XoFLink.
