Description

The OPT-S1256 is listed in OPT's series “M12 Fixed Focal Length Lenses” with focal length 12 mm, aperture F5.6, image circle Ø9.3 mm (1/1.7"). Also: working distance 100 mm - ∞, S-Mount (M12).

The M12 series brings OPT optics to the S-Mount format: short overall length, fixed aperture F5.6 with large depth of field and a resolution close to the diffraction limit for sensors up to 1/1.7". The chief ray angle stays below 7.45°, so the illumination remains uniform. It sits in board-level cameras, smart cameras and code readers where a C-Mount lens would not fit.

When choosing a lens, what counts is the interplay of sensor size, pixel size, field of view and working distance - the focal length alone says little. If you tell us your camera and inspection task, we check the combination and, if needed, suggest suitable lighting to go with it. The dimensional drawing is included.
