Description
OPT-COB0828, a fixed focal length lens of the series “Cobra Fixed Focal Length Lenses” by OPT, comes with focal length 8 mm, aperture F2.8 - F16, image circle Ø9 mm (1/1.8"). Further key data: working distance 100 mm - ∞, C-Mount.
At Ø29 mm, the Cobra series is as slim as a compact camera and yet designed for pixels from 2.2 µm - up to 230 lp/mm across the full image field. The coating covers 400 to 1000 nm, TV distortion stays below 0.2 %, and a chief ray angle below 5° keeps the illumination uniform right into the corners. It fits wherever little space and high resolution come together: character inspection on plastic parts, chip and display inspection, particle control.
When choosing a lens, what counts is the interplay of sensor size, pixel size, field of view and working distance - the focal length alone says little. If you tell us your camera and inspection task, we check the combination and, if needed, suggest suitable lighting to go with it. The dimensional drawing and the STEP model are included.
