Description
FHPR-Si70-G belongs to the series FHPR-70 by Falcon Illumination. The light emits green light. The manufacturer specifies the working distance as 0 - 30 mm. The emitting surface measures 64 mm. The outer dimensions are 60 × 40 × 40 mm.
A dark-field light shines across the surface at a very low angle. Smooth surfaces throw the light past the lens and stay dark; only edges, grooves, embossing and particles scatter light back into the camera and appear bright against a black background. It is exactly this contrast reversal that gives the method its name.
The light runs on 24 V and draws 25.20 W, 21 LEDs of type High Power SMD are fitted, the connection is made via JST SMR-02V with 300 mm cable, the housing is made of aluminum and the ingress protection is IP 40.
The effect depends strongly on the distance: just a few millimeters too high and the grazing angle is lost. The working distance stated in the data sheet should be observed.
