Description
With focal length 50 mm, aperture F2.8 - F22, image circle Ø11 mm (2/3"), OPT-COB5028N belongs to the series “Cobra Fixed Focal Length Lenses” by OPT Machine Vision. Further key data: working distance 250 - 2000 mm, C-Mount.
At Ø29 mm, the Cobra series is as slim as a compact camera and yet designed for pixels from 2.2 µm - up to 230 lp/mm across the full image field. The coating covers 400 to 1000 nm, TV distortion stays below 0.2 %, and a chief ray angle below 5° keeps the illumination uniform right into the corners. It fits wherever little space and high resolution come together: character inspection on plastic parts, chip and display inspection, particle control.
When choosing a lens, what counts is the interplay of sensor size, pixel size, field of view and working distance - the focal length alone says little.
