Description
OPT-CM1-S050-GG1-01 is a SWIR camera: its InGaAs sensor IMX992 sees from 400 - 1700 nm and thus far beyond visible light. It resolves 2560 × 2048 pixels (5 MP), reaches 22.4 fps at full resolution and works with a global shutter, so that moving parts are imaged without distortion.
In the short-wave infrared, materials behave differently than in visible light: silicon becomes transparent, water and many plastics absorb strongly, and packaging can be seen through. This makes tasks solvable that do not work in the visible range - fill level checks through opaque containers, moisture detection, foreign body detection in food, wafer inspection through the substrate and the inspection of solar cells.
The camera transmits via Gigabit Ethernet and can be powered via PoE; a second power supply at the camera head is thus unnecessary. Power and I/O run via a 6-pin Hirose connector with opto-isolated input and output. The housing measures 29 mm × 29 mm × 42 mm and weighs 90 g; lenses attach via C-Mount. The camera follows GigE Vision V2.0 and GenICam and thus works with common machine vision software.
