Description
FLDR-i56A-IR24 belongs to the FLDR-56A series by Falcon Illumination. The light emits infrared light (875 nm). The manufacturer states a working distance of 5 - 100 mm. The emitting surface measures 52 mm. The outer dimensions are Ø 56 × 23.5 mm.
A direct ring light sits around the lens and throws the light steeply down onto the part. The ring of light is therefore on the optical axis: matte surfaces become evenly bright, edges and bores stand out clearly, and little shadow is cast because the light arrives from all directions at once.
The light runs on 24 V and draws 3.00 W, 75 LEDs of package type T1 3 mm are fitted, the connection is JST SMR-03V with 300 mm cable, the housing is aluminum and the ingress predection is IP 40.
On specular parts a direct ring light shows the ring itself as a bright reflection in the image. For shiny surfaces a dome or coaxial light is usually the better choice.
